"Wisdom and Sex" - Proverbs 5:1-23 - Sept. 24, 2006

Pastor Wilkins Tells Us That: "Sex is not an accident but a glorious expression of God's infinite wisdom in creating us as His image bearers. Sexual activity is not a painful necessity or an embarassing obligation, it is a glorious, joyful gift from God to teach us what it means to live like God lives-- living in a covenant relationship of love, loyalty, and mutual, sacrificial indwelling. "

"Wisdom and Life" - Proverbs 4:10-27

Pastor Wilkins Says: "Wisdom is the ability to do things skillfully, to live with grace and beauty. It is not merely the ability to teach or to critique, but doing, acting, and living faithfully. 'Wisdom is Life.' It means not only seeing evil and avoiding it but committing to the ways of righteousness and loving them.

"The Wisdom of King David" - Proverbs 4:1-9

Pastor Wilkins tells us, "The opening chapters of Proverbs are cast in the form of a father instructing his son and give us an inspired record of what it means to bring up a child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We learn both what we need to emphasize with our children and how to do it. This also shows us how we as children of God are to respond to the discipline and instruction of our heavenly father."
